This Saturday is Cuppacocoa’s ONE YEAR BLOGGY BIRTHDAY!!!! Wooooooo!!
I wanted to do something cool to celebrate. My original thought was to revamp the look and feel of my blog– something lovely and white and clean. And maybe finally throw in a photo of myself somewhere. Well, 2/28 is fast approaching and I have made exactly zero progress on that front, so instead, I’ve decided to commemorate the occasion with a special Cuppacocoa t-shirt giveaway! I’ll be giving away 6 of these shirts:

Happy blog birthday! I think your parenting/education posts in particular are absolutely fantastic, and I always look forward to reading them. Please keep posting because you were obviously an amazing teacher and have a lot to share!
I don’t want to rain on your parade, but I did notice that your T-shirts are from American Apparel – did you know that their brand has a history of objectifying women in their advertising? They had an ad banned in Sept 2014 that was considered “gratuitous and objectified women…therefore sexist and likely to cause serious and widespread offence” – Advertising Standards Authority UK. I know you’ve already organised the giveaway and printed the T-shirts etc… but next time perhaps consider a different company who has better values? Just a heads up in case you weren’t aware of their history.

Thank you also for sharing the information about American Apparel! I don’t keep up much with clothes/brands, and thought I had actually made a good pick since American Apparel appears to pay their workers better, be environmentally conscious, etc. as shown on their About page. Had no idea about the part where they have a history of objectifying women! Thanks for the heads up! Will keep it in mind for the future!
