Hello Dear Readers!

Three things!

1) Ack! I spent a long time working on my latest post about reading, scheduled it to post, and then… my website went down for several hours. :(. Just wanted to let you know that it’s back up, and the post is ready for you!!

2) You can now follow me on Facebook or Twitter or Pinterest!

3) And while we’re at it… I don’t know if this is allowed in blogger world, but I have burning questions for you!!! The main one is this: WHO ARE YOU? I’d LOVE it if you could take a moment to leave a comment and tell me something–ANYTHING– about yourself! Which country and/or state do you live in? What’s your blog/website URL? What do you do? Why do you read my blog (food? teacher? parent? you’re my friend?)?

THANKS! 🙂
JoEllen

I’m an undergrad in CA! I don’t remember how I found your website, but I ended up following you because I think you have a lot of interesting advice about parenting!

Hi JoEllen! I’m from good ol’ Minnesota! I am currently in college for Elementary Education, so I mainly devour your posts with teaching tips (which are SO helpful, let me add). But, I’m also a hope-to-one-day-be mom, so I really enjoy your parenting posts as well. I’m also a kid’s book author, and you can find me (actually, I think you already found me) on my blog at http://www.SarahEllenBrown.wordpress.com. I post everything about my crazy life on this blog–school assignments, photos, updates on my writing projects, recipes, Bible learning and sermon highlights, you name it! Thank you so much for your inspiring blog, and, even though we’ve never met, I feel like you’re becoming a friend. I sure do get excited when I see another post on your blog, anyway! 🙂

Hi Sarah! Yes, I like your blog! I’m just discovering the world of blogger friends, and it is a happy place :]. Thanks so much for following mine, too!

Hi there! I’m a mom of 7 kids, ages 3 to 11. 2 are “bonus” kids that I gained when my hubby and I married… 2nd marriage for both of us 🙂 He adopted my 4 (their dad left for greener, larger breasted pastures lol) & we had a little girl together. I work as a Quality Assurance Analyst & editor, & I’m super lucky to work at home w/ my hubby who runs the IT department. We’re in Las Vegas! I found your site from my FIL who sent me one of your posts on the proper way to apologize. Oh my gosh- you opened my eyes. I’ll forever be a follower of yours! Keep up the AMAZING work!

I’m not sure how I found you, but originally I started following you because of your post about milk-tea. I’m a kindergarten teacher from Texas! I’ve been teaching for 15 years. I have also enjoyed your teaching and parenting posts even though I don’t have my own children. I am not a blogger, but I follow quite a few, mostly teacher blogs and a few lifestyle, for lack of a better word, blogs. I love to read and hope to become a librarian some day.

Milk tea and teaching. I feel like we’re friends already! Thanks for the background! I hope you get to make your dream come true.

hi, i’m a stay at home mom to two boys, 4 and 8, in houston, tx. i don’t remember how i ran across your blog, but i love it. the school related posts have really helped me navigate elementary school with my older son. i LOVED the current reading one – i am the parent that was having my son read books that were too hard! who knew? we’re changing that tomorrow. i always wanted to teach but got side tracked when i got married and became a mom but maybe one day will get back there. thanks for everything!

This is so great to hear! I write these school-related posts with the hopes that it do exactly that– help parents navigate elementary school better! Even the ones geared toward teachers can be beneficial for parents who want to get a glimpse into what the classroom world can be like. Thank you so much for reading! And I am so glad that the post on reading was helpful for you. I’d love to hear if you see progress– either in his attitude toward reading or his actual reading levels! Thanks for sharing!
