Hello Dear Readers!

Three things!

1) Ack! I spent a long time working on my latest post about reading, scheduled it to post, and then… my website went down for several hours. :(. Just wanted to let you know that it’s back up, and the post is ready for you!!

2) You can now follow me on Facebook or Twitter or Pinterest!

3) And while we’re at it… I don’t know if this is allowed in blogger world, but I have burning questions for you!!! The main one is this: WHO ARE YOU? I’d LOVE it if you could take a moment to leave a comment and tell me something–ANYTHING– about yourself! Which country and/or state do you live in? What’s your blog/website URL? What do you do? Why do you read my blog (food? teacher? parent? you’re my friend?)?

THANKS! 🙂
JoEllen

    Hello!
I’m from France, and I’m a teacher (the grade changes every year, and can go from 3-year-olds to 5th grade). I also teach sunday school (5-to-10-year olds) when my turn comes up, which is about once a month this year.
I mostly read your posts about teaching, parenting, and education.
If a recipe post title sounds really yummy or I think I might find the ingredients mentionned here in France, I might read that too.
Thanks so much for all you do!!
    Florence.

      Hi Florence,
Thanks for dropping a note! Hope your teaching year is going well– thanks for all YOU do to serve the kids! 🙂 Thanks for reading, too!

    Hi JoEllen!

I love that you asked about who all your readers are–I’m curious about who reads blogs & why so I enjoyed reading all the comments on your post so far.

I’m in Indiana but will never claim it as my home because everyone knows that Michigan is really God’s promised land ;P. I’m Momma to two 20-year-olds and I run a small daycare here in my home. I can’t remember how I found your blog but I enjoy all of your posts no matter the subject. I plan to use “check yourself” in the preschool Sunday School class that my husband & I teach.

My own blog is pitifully outdated but I keep it up so that I can plug the address into the form on the odd occasion that I comment on a blog post.

I have a friend who probably did a mental *like* of your comment on Michigan 🙂 Let me know how “check yourselves” works for ya. Good luck with your blog– they can be hard to keep up!

Hi, I am new reasder and love your blog. I am a mom of two elementary school boys and child psychologist in North Carolina. I love your very practical classroom ideas and share your apology method with other moms and patients who are struggling with their kids. Thanks so much, definitely always look forward to your posts
